Hi Creative Friends!!! I’m back today with a new layout for the Hip Kit Club DT made only with the Main Kit of December 2021.
I started by coating a white cardstock with clear Gesso to add a little ink. I stuck a strip of « Winter Floral » patterned paper that is really beautiful, in the center of my page. I then selected several Chipboard frames in pink/orange tones and since I didn’t have enough, I used another frame by sticking on them patterned papers that better matched what I wanted.
I pasted the photo in the center on the patterned paper strip and then added the frames on each side of the photo diagonally by three by overlapping them. I added flowers cut out of the same patterned paper as the one in the back strip, in the photo near the frames.
I then sewed two circles under the frame clusters with black DMC wire to make a small reminder with the photo and the circular movement that can be done with the majorette stick. This is one of my childhood memories honored this week. A sport that I loved to practice.
I added pieces of patterned paper on either side of my page to fill the void a bit and added frames and flowers. I then added some Shimmerz Gosh Garnet ink that I love under the frames to bring some color and depth. I added the word « Fun » Puffy Stickers along the photo on the right and a Die Cuts « Magical » on top.
I finished this layout by making a few splashes of black ink, always diagonally, to bring contrast and to harmonize everything.
