Hi Creative Friends!!! I’m back today with a new layout for Paige Evans DT featuring her « It’s Good To Be Home » cut file and « Bungalow Lane » collection.
To begin with, I cut the cut file with my Silhouette Cameo in a white cardstock and I used only the letters as a template to be able to redraw them into patterned papers (Paper 1, 8, 9, 15, 16 and Paper Pad 6×8) in yellow/pink/orange tones. I then distressed all the letters to have a worn effect that I like very much and I added 3D foam to bring volume once glued.
I coated a white cardstock with clear Gesso before adding a lot of Shimmerz ink in the same tones as the letters (Inklingz Pink A Boo and Gosh Garnet, Creameez Strawberry Fields and Shimmerz Christmas Cheer). I applied the inks to the background with the help of a piece of rhodoid and then added water and let the inks flow and mix. Once it dried, I pasted the letters over it, tilting the text a bit and changing the design to leave a space in the center for the photo. Then I added a little ink in some places, between the letters to create depth and accentuate the shades of color.
I then inerted the photo, printed in black and white so that it stands out well, after framing it with a Chipboard flowery frame that is just beautiful. And then I decorated the set without overloading the decoration so as not to stifle the layout visually and without camouflaging the letters too much. You can find Die cuts flowers, Flower Stickers as well as Stickers phrases from the Sticker Book of the collection, Puffy Stickers Thickers, butterflies Stickers and Hearts Dimensional Stickers as well as small patterned paper flowers made with a Die Mes P’tits Ciseaux and Essentials Jewels Mix of PinkFresh Studio.
Here are some more close-ups!
I hope this inspires you today! I wanted a colorful page with warm colors to bring a little sun in this winter period and it did me a lot of good! I loved making it and this collection really had the ideal colors!
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great creative day!
See you soon…
