Hi Creative Friends!!! I’m back today with a new layout for the exclusive « 25 Days of Christmas Cut Files » by Paige Evans. I had the pleasure of highlighting the « Holly and Pine Bough Frame » cut file and for this I used the Bungalow Lane collection.
I started by cutting this cut file with the help of my Silhouette Cameo in the pattern paper n°10 and then in a white cardstock. I wanted to highlight this cut file with an original background and natural decoration.
So I cut out six strips of chipboard. I made cuts at each end for a wood effect and I covered them with coarse Modeling Paste then with a tooth brush, I made traces as for a tree trunk for a more sustained wood effect. I then painted the strips with Linen and Chocolate Impasto paint by Finnabair. With a wipe, I removed paint before it dried so that it was not too dark and for a more natural effect so the paint remains in the hollows. I then glued the strips on a 12×12 cardstock leaving small spaces between them for the « wooden pallet » effect.
I glued the frame to the center by doubling it so that it comes out better and to bring volume. I have inerted the photo in the center and I just have to decorate everything. I added pine cones, blue and white flowers from my reserve, linen thread, fake berries, all indeed mirror for more harmony. I also added Chipboard,Stickers, Die Cuts, Epoxy Stickers, Thickers, at the top and bottom of the photo as well as golden leaves Stickers and Clear Stickers from the collection for the little touch of color.
I finished by adding Snowflake Paste and Art Stones by Finnabair here and there for a snowy and winter effect. And here is an end of year page as I wanted it with natural elements and a lot of Mixed Media…

I hope this layout has inspired you for a future project. I really loved the realization and especially realize this background that I love!
Thank you for stopping by here, I wish you a great creative day!
See you soon…
