Hi everyone !!! I’m back today with a new layout for the « 20 Days of Stitching Cut » Files by Paige Evans using her » Bungalow Lane « collection. To begin with, I printed a large photo that I pasted on a white cardstock, on the left. I applied Gesso to the cardstock to prepare it for Mixed Media.

I wanted to create a stone wall to extend that of the photo. So I added the Brick pattern with a TCW stencil and Modeling Paste. For a truer effect I added Modeling Paste with a knife here and there to have « flat » places. I then added Lindy’s Magical inks(Martina’s Marigold,Canna Lily Burnst,Red Hot Poker Orange and Clam Bake Beige). I had fun creating shades of color more or less dark and then I bleached some areas with Gesso.

I then cut the cut file « Hello » in a cardstock to make a template and I reproduced the holes on the bottom of my page. I then sewed the pattern with black DMC thread. I wanted it to stand out well, like graffiti on a wall.

I then decorated everything with sheets cut out of paper n°9 and 8×6 paper pad but also with Leaf Embellishment, Die Cuts. I completed the word Hello with the word Beautiful made with the Thickers of the collection, I also added Stickers phrases and Chipboard as well as Epoxy Stickers.

I hope this layout has inspired you for a future project. I loved adding a large photo with this exclusive cut file and loved creating this background in fall colors.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a beautiful creative day!
See you soon…
Jennifer
