Be Sweet & Kind / Hip Kit Club DT

Hi everyone !!! I’m back today with a new Cut File Tuesday layout for Hip Kit Club DT using the August 2021 kits and the exclusive « Floral Globe » cut file. To start with, I cut out this cut file three times in different sizes with my Silhouette Cameo and only kept the flowery circle.

I decided to tint them with Lindy’s inks in purple tones because I want to achieve a monochromatic purple page. I start with the ink « Frenchy’s Pink Pool » which I apply randomly then I add the ink « Sweet Violet Purple Teal » here and there then I add the ink « Witch’s Potion Purple. I sprinkle the whole thing with water then I add the ink « Midnight Rendez-vous » here and there and I add the ink « Frenchy’s Pink Pool. I let the inks flow and mix and I dry everything. And I do the same with the other two flower circles.

I then coat a white cardstock with clear Gesso. Then I add a brick wall pattern with a stencil and Modeling Paste on the background of my page in a random fashion. I go back to the flowery circles and apply clear embossing powder all over and black here and there. And I do the same for the other flower circles.

I added 3D foam under each flower circle before gluing them. It brings volume. I add a writing motif with a stamp all over the bottom of my page. For my photo, added crumpled tracing paper underneath to blur the edges and add texture. I then add a card to the purple edges of the pocket life kit. I distress the edges before gluing it and I add another card cut from the pattern paper of the « Color Study » collection by Vicki Boutin. I add a piece of cardboard to add volume and I add a Die cut ticket.

I cut out many purple flowers from the « Daisy tagle » pattern paper from the « Collect Memories » collection by K and Kimberly and black and white flowers from the « Cosmo-Licious » pattern paper from the same collection. So with Dies I cut out lots of different leaves that I will tint with the same inks as for the flower circles. And then I would emboss them the same way too. I do the same with another kind of leaf. I glue the photo in the center of the page on the flower circles and then I add the flowers in clusters with 3D foam and I insert the leaves inside.

I then finish the background by adding ink. I apply the ink under the photo then I spray water and I run the ink between the bricks at the back. And I do this all over the place. And I dry as I go, then I intensify the color near the photo to bring depth. I then add a Die Cuts near the photo and the title on a purple Die Cuts label with a Puffy Stickers from the March 2021 « Be sweet and kind » kit and a « What matters make » sticker. I finish with splashes of Gesso diluted with water to bring light and to harmonize the whole and I also add splashes of black ink.
