In This House… / 20 Days Of Spring Cut Files / Paige Evans DT

Hello Creative Spirits !!! I’m back today with a DIY for Paige Evans’ design team with her new « In This House Quote » file, which is part of her 20 Days of Family / Friends bundle of files. When I saw this file I immediately wanted to make a hanging decoration. I use an 11 inch diameter embroidery hoop from my stash.

I first used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the design from a white cardstock and used some pattern papers from the Bloom Street collection to cut and fill the cut file. I cut the file a second time in Off Set to have a background and to be able to extend the cutout of the embroidery hoop. I glued the two cut files together.

I continue with the background of the embroidery hoop and for this I used watercolor paper. I used Paige Evans’ « Flower » stencil and added the inks (Distress Stain Chipped Sapphire, Lindy’s Magical Jana’s Jade, Shimmerz Snow Way Man) on top. Once dry I glued the cut file over it with 3D foam.

I then decorated them all with Die Cuts Flowers , Die cuts butterflies, word stickers and Enamel dots from the collection.

Here are some additional close-ups:

Hope this will inspire you for a future project! It had been a while since I had done DIY and I loved doing it!

Be sure to watch the video of the process for more details:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great creative day!

See you soon…
