Color Me Happy

Hello creative minds !!! Here’s a layout made using Hip Kit Club’s December kit and one of their « Color Me Happy » cut files. To start, I made a blue background with the Shimmerz Inklingz Oakie Bear Blue ink, from the kit, and added Distress Stain Chipped Sapphire ink for darker undertones. I apply the ink with a piece of rhodoid, to see exactly where to put the ink and to have an imperfect halo, that’s what I love to do!

Then I cut out the file with the help of my Silhouette Cameo, from the colorful striped paper from the kit and from a white cardstock. So I stuck the sentence with 3D foam on its background and then I added 3D foam again to the background to paste it on my page. I love the shadow effect it provides!

I added my photo after mattressing it with crumpled tracing paper for more texture. I cut out several flowers that I glued on either side of the cutout and my photo. I also cut circles of 3 different sizes from the blue flake paper from the kit and I applied Shimmerz ink on half of each circle then the distress stain ink on the same half at the edge to create a gradient. and I added them on my page here and there, with or without 3D foam for more dimension.

And to finish, I completed the sentence of the cutout with the black puffy alphabet that I stuck on the cutout to create contrast and to make it less empty.

My page is complete and includes everything I love : a cut file, a mixed media background, flowers and blue! I hope you liked this layout and maybe inspired!

Thank you for stopping by and have a beautiful creative day !!!
