Hey creative friends !!! Here is my last layout of this year and it is not just any one since it is a page for the birthday of my son who was born on December 26th! A late birthday, but still celebrated as it should! On the one hand, he is lucky because for 3 days, he opens lots of presents but on the other, he has to wait all year!
So for this layout, I used a Paige Evans cut file. I wanted to have a little fun with the background and above all I wanted a background that would make the cut file stand out since I just wanted the outlines! So I started at the background, I used Lindy’s Magical Red Hot Poker Orange powder to get a shiny dark orange. I dip a piece of rhodoid in the diluted powder then I put the rhodoid on my page, and thus, I can see perfectly the place, the size and the location of my trachea. I repeat the movement until I get the halo I want.
I continue with the application of a tone-on-tone phrase stamp, which I stamp everywhere. Then, I use a Chevron Paige Evans stencil with the same powder on a piece of foam with very little water, and I make chevrons all over my halo. I glue the cut file in the center, but I only glue the middle because I want the rest to stand up to create shading.
I insert my photos after having matted them with blue paper and crumpled tracing paper for more texture. All that’s left to do is decorate it all! For this I used the Go The Scenic Route collection from Paige Evans and the Super Cool collection from Pink Fresh Studio. A few cut out hearts, tickets, stickers, Acetate Bubble … A little gold stitching, Tim Holtz Rub-ons and black ink stains to finish!
Here is a page that has pep, in masculine colors, perfect for the theme! I find it quite complicated to make pages for my son, but I find the result rather not bad and my son has validated !!!
Hope you enjoyed this layout! See you next year for other layouts that I hope you will like !!! Thank you for stopping by Happy New Year’s Eve !!!
