Hello creative friends !!! I am so excited and honored to be the Paige’s cut files guest designer for the month of October ! I am very grateful that I can share my cut file designs !!! So find me on Paige Evans’ blog today !!! You can find me on Instagram (@secretsandcreations), Facebook (secretsandcreations), Pinterest (secretsandcreations). So I present to you three layout.
For the first one, I used Paige Evans’ Go The Scenic Route collection and her Mason Jar cut file. As soon as I saw this file, I knew what I wanted to do with it ! So my daughter had to strike the perfect pose and she’s still up for it ! Once the photo was printed in large format, I cut out my daughter’s silhouette and sanded the edges and then cut the file in white Bazzill with my Cameo. I worked the background of my page with Distress Oxide Peacock Feather ink to make a beautiful blue oréole then with a Tim Holtz flowers stencil and the same ink I created darker effects here and there and finally I I used the butterfly stamps from the collection that I embossed with white powder for more texture and light.
I then glued my photo with 3D foam. I dressed my cut out file with a laminating sleeve to make it more real. I then glued butterflies under the pot before integrating it and then I made a dome before gluing it for more reality. And I ended up sticking more cut and stamped butterflies on acetate here and there. I used the puffy stickers to add a quote that I thought was awesome for my daughter’s sweet theme. And finally, a little sewing, a few splashes of black paint to give pep and contrast and there you go ! I love making a layout look real! I love this kind of creation and wanted to show it here.
For my second layout, I used Paige’s Bloom Street Collection and her Love Love Love cut file. I started by creating a background with Paige’s Flowers stencil and Prima’s Tropicals Reef watercolor-tinted modeling clay with more or less dark undertones. I added some light with Distress Stain Brushed Pewter ink here and there with the help of a rag that I dab in some areas to make it shine!
I cut the file twice, with a white Bazzill for the outline and another time with the 8 paper for the inside. I glued the outline in the center and the inside on 3D foam for more volume. I integrated my 2 photos in the heart of the file and in the one that remained, I added a title with the
puffy stickers. I decorated the whole thing with cut flowers and leaves as well as butterflies cut from the same paper and glued in the same place. I like this type of layout with a dark background created and an evenly dressed cut file. Finally, a touch of white paint splash !!!
The last layout I present to you today uses the Awesome Cut File and Go The Scenic Route Collection by Paige Evans. It’s more complicated for me to do masculine layouts and you ? But with this collection there are beautiful colors and adequate embellishments ! I printed a large photo of my men which I pasted to the top of my page then I used a The Crafter’s Workshop stencil and modeling clay to add texture, I spilled over the photo for more integrated. Then I tinted everything with Distress Stain Chipped Sapphire, Broken China and Tumbled Glass ink to have shades of blue like the covering of my file with paper 2. I added light by inking some parts as well as the photo with Distress Stain Brushed Pewter ink that I love for that!
I then glued the cutout with 3D foam for more volume and I decorated the whole with different stickers, chipboard stickers, puffy phrase and cut tickets that I love !!! And finally, black and white paint splashes …
Thank you very much for taking the time to discover my creations specially made for you !!! Hope to inspire you and that you will enjoy them! Do not hesitate to tell me what you think of these creations. Good day full of creativity !!!
